Unit F explored the comprehensive range of scales of architectural design that bridges between the notions of material and topography, aiming to substantiate the interdependence between construction and city/landscape.
In apparently unrelated and contrasting contexts, Unit F explored the potential of materials to form places, celebrating the cultural value of the topography as both the context and the outcome of our architectural work. The work was developed in the remoteness of Tavora Valley, northern Portugal and in the saturated urban fabric of the City of London.
